Department Overview:

The Global Markets Technology team is a focused and user-oriented development team operating in markets across all regions. Within this space, the Totoro technology team develops the core trading and risk management system for Fixed Income products, as well as many other diverse functions across the rates and credit businesses. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team (3 in London, 3 in Mumbai, 2 in Shanghai) to deliver strategic change, enhancements, and work with other Totoro teams, as well as support and maintain this critical system. The team is front-office focused but has stakeholders in Finance, Risk, Operations, Regulatory, etc., and due to the core nature of the system, is often central to large firm-wide initiatives.

Role Overview:

This role is ideal for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills, excellent delivery focus, and a flair for building technically robust solutions. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Working on multiple areas of the Totoro trading and risk system covering trading, risk management, operational tools, and reference data management using Python and React components.
  • Contribute to the modernization program by adopting up-to-date industry standards and practices.
  • Collaborate closely with quants, front office, and other IT/corporate teams to implement practical solutions and contribute to both tactical and strategic programs.
  • Deliver high-quality solutions as part of a collaborative team, encouraging continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Provide second-line support to the business for both system and business-related issues.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
