The Opportunity
Birchwell Associates is supporting a growing technology business in the search for a Full-Stack Developer. This role will suit an engineer who enjoys working across the full product stack and taking ownership of features from initial design through to production.
You will collaborate with product, UX, frontend, backend, and DevOps colleagues to build new SaaS capabilities, improve existing services, and help maintain a clean, scalable, and dependable engineering platform.
What You Will Be Doing
- Build responsive product features using React and TypeScript.
- Design and develop backend services and REST APIs using Node.js or Python.
- Work with relational databases and data models to support new product capabilities.
- Deliver features through testing, code review, deployment, and production support.
- Improve application performance, reliability, accessibility, and security across the stack.
- Contribute to engineering standards, reusable components, documentation, and technical decision-making.

What We Are Looking For
- Commercial experience building and supporting full-stack web applications.
- Strong JavaScript or TypeScript skills with experience using React.
- Backend development experience with Node.js, Python, or a comparable modern framework.
- Experience designing and integrating APIs and working with relational databases.
- Familiarity with automated testing, Git workflows, cloud platforms, and CI/CD delivery.
- Clear communication, strong problem-solving skills, and confidence working in a collaborative product team.
What Is on Offer
- Salary between £55,000 and £70,000, depending on experience.
- Hybrid working from Manchester.
