Full Stack Developer

Company

Lansdowne Payments (lansdownepayments.com)

Location

Remote / Hybrid - Europe, Latvia (CET +/- 3 hours)

Type

Full-time

Sector

Fintech - Payments, FX & Digital Assets

About Us

Lansdowne Payments is a FINTRAC-regulated Money Services Business operating across payments, FX, and virtual currency / stablecoin services. We serve businesses across the payments ecosystem — including clients underserved by traditional banks — and we're building out the core technology that powers everything we do.

We work in a lean, fast-moving environment. AI-assisted development is a core part of how we ship — not an experiment, but a baseline expectation.

The Role

We're looking for a Full Stack Developer to own and evolve our internal operations platform and client-facing portal. You'll work across the full stack: Next.js App Router, TypeScript, PostgreSQL with Prisma ORM, and a rich MUI-based UI — all deployed on Azure. The codebase follows strict security, audit, and compliance patterns appropriate to a regulated financial services business.

You'll work directly with the founding team, shipping features end-to-end: API routes, CQRS command handlers, repositories, data grids, upload forms, and everything in between.

Tech Stack

Layer Technology

  • Framework: Next.js (App Router, React Server Components)
  • Language: TypeScript
  • UI: Material UI
  • Database: PostgreSQL on Azure (Prisma ORM)
  • Auth: Auth0 SDK
  • Cloud: Azure App Logic, Azure App Service, Front Door, WAF, Container Registry, Custom Queue Processors
  • CI/CD: Docker + Azure DevOps Pipelines
  • Email: SendGrid dynamic templates
  • Dev tooling: pnpm, ESLint, tsx, Zod

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What You'll Build

  • Internal operations dashboard — payment management, FX and crypto trade history, compliance screening, client management, audit trails
  • Client portal — payment upload, trade history, statements, account management
  • API integrations — banking partners, compliance data providers, email delivery, and a public-facing client API
  • Compliance and screening workflows — AML/KYC queue processing, match resolution, case management
  • Notification and automation infrastructure — event-driven email notifications, Logic App-triggered processors

What We're Looking For

Must-have:

  • Proven experience building and consuming REST/JSON APIs — ideally including bank or payment rail integrations (open banking, SWIFT, card networks, or similar)
  • Strong TypeScript and React experience; comfortable in a Next.js App Router codebase with Server Components and API routes.
  • Backend skills: REST API design, database modelling (PostgreSQL), ORM usage (Prisma or similar)
  • Fluent, daily user of AI coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or similar) you can direct AI to design, scaffold, debug, and ship production code faster than traditional development alone
  • Experience building both user-facing interfaces and internal/admin tooling
  • Understanding of security and data-handling standards relevant to financial services — encryption, access controls, audit trails — or a clear willingness to get up to speed quickly
  • Self-starter comfortable working directly with founders in a small, regulated business — pragmatic, security-conscious, and able to move quickly without cutting corners
