Full-Stack Developer at Bluelight

We are looking for an experienced Full-Stack Developer to join Bluelight's Web Team. This is a varied, hands-on role working across client projects, BlueCMS and BluePortal product development, existing-client support, enhancements and Statements of Work (SOWs), QA/UAT, deployments and technical troubleshooting.

You will work across the full development lifecycle: understanding requirements, assessing technical risks, developing maintainable solutions, supporting testing and releasing changes through to production. Support is an important part of the role, but it sits alongside project delivery, product/V2 development, SOWs and business-as-usual development.

Our platforms are primarily built with.NET/C#, content-driven CMS technologies and Microsoft Azure, with integrations to CRM systems and third-party services. Broader experience in Azure, DevOps, identity, SSO or infrastructure would be especially valuable, but these are differentiators rather than requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain web applications using C# and.NET, working confidently across backend and frontend code.
  • Build responsive, accessible and maintainable interfaces using HTML, CSS/SCSS and JavaScript.
  • Build and maintain CMS templates, components, content models and functionality for content-driven .NET applications.
  • Develop and support APIs and integrations between websites, portals, CRM platforms and third-party services.
  • Contribute to new client websites and portals from technical planning and estimation through development, QA/UAT, deployment and post-launch support.
  • Contribute to the continued development of BlueCMS and BluePortal V2, creating reusable functionality and balancing client needs with the maintainability of the core products.
  • Investigate and resolve issues affecting existing client platforms across frontend, backend, CMS, integrations, hosting and deployment environments.
  • Deliver enhancements and change requests, providing technical input into estimates and SOWs and identifying risks, assumptions, dependencies and appropriate implementation approaches.
  • Review requirements and designs from a technical perspective, raising delivery, security, accessibility, performance or maintainability concerns early.
  • Support QA and UAT, diagnose defects and take ownership of fixes through to release.
  • Use Git and deployment tooling as part of the team's development workflow, releasing changes through development, test/UAT and production environments.
  • Troubleshoot production and deployment issues methodically and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • Collaborate with UX, UI, Systems, Delivery, Account Management and other developers, sharing knowledge and maintaining useful technical documentation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
