About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer / Developer to join a global financial services company based in Bracknell, with the flexibility of working from home. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in rebuilding and enhancing the company's international payments platform within the Corporate Payments division. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on complex, scalable systems that impact a wide customer base. You will take ownership of end-to-end feature development, from designing APIs and backend services to delivering customer-facing frontend components. The role requires a proactive individual who can lead architectural decisions, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and contribute to modernizing legacy systems to improve performance, reliability, and security.

Qualifications
- Extensive experience in C#.NET backend development, with a strong understanding of building scalable and maintainable services.
- Proficiency in frontend development, ideally with Vue.js; experience with React is also acceptable.
- Solid knowledge of API development, system design, and distributed systems architecture.
- Experience working with SQL and relational databases, ensuring data integrity and performance.
- Hands-on experience with production AWS environments, including CI/CD pipelines, SQS, DynamoDB, S3, ECS, or Lambda functions, is advantageous.
- Understanding of microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
- Ability to take technical ownership, mentor junior team members, and lead architectural discussions.
- Experience in payments, financial services, or other regulated environments is desirable but not essential.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, your core responsibilities will include:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs using C# .NET, ensuring high performance and security.
- Building engaging, responsive customer-facing features on the Vue.js frontend, with an emphasis on usability and performance.
- Owning the architecture and technical decisions within your domain, providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Collaborating closely with Product, Design, and Compliance teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Leading the modernization of legacy systems, improving reliability, observability, testing, and deployment processes.
- Ensuring the seamless integration of microservices and event-driven architectures within the platform.
- Participating in code reviews, troubleshooting production issues, and implementing best practices for software development.
- Contributing to the wider architectural direction and strategic technical initiatives of the organization.
