Full Stack Engineer – Java, React & AWS - £75p/h (Inside of IR35)
Manchester – Hybrid | Six-month rolling contract | Two days per week onsite
A leading global online travel company is looking for a Full Stack Engineer to help build new features for its customer loyalty programme.
Working alongside global teams, you’ll develop functionality across web and app platforms, helping customers discover and use their loyalty benefits.
The role combines React frontend development, Java backend services and AWS, with hands-on use of Agentic AI throughout delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Build responsive, accessible customer-facing features using React and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Develop Java services and APIs, connecting frontend applications to core platforms.
- Work across micro-frontends, backend-for-frontend layers and backend services.
- Collaborate with product managers, UX designers and engineers to gather requirements and deliver new features.
- Use AI agents such as Claude and Codex, translating requirements into clear specifications and taking responsibility for reviewing and testing generated code.
- Integrate AI capabilities into customer-facing products to improve engagement.
- Deploy applications on AWS and maintain code quality, reliability and performance.

Required experience

- Three or more years of relevant professional software engineering experience.
- Strong Java development skills, including Spring Boot.
- Experience with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML and CSS.
- A solid understanding of API development and how frontend and backend systems interact.
- Practical AWS experience, including build and deployment tools such as CloudFormation.
- Direct experience delivering features using AI agents and integrating AI functionality into products.
- Experience building products, understanding requirements and taking ownership of delivery.
- Strong communication skills and experience writing unit and integration tests.
