Full Stack Engineer
Robert Half has partnered with a market-leading Financial Services organisation to recruit a Full Stack Engineer for an initial 6 months. This is a hybrid role based in Central London, requiring three days per week in the office.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a business-critical application, working with modern technologies including .Net, Azure, React, Node.js, and SQL while collaborating closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of an established Corporate Governance platform from prototype through to production.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Azure, React, Node.js, and TypeScript.
- Build, optimise, and maintain SQL Server and Azure SQL databases, ensuring performance, security, and data integrity.
- Develop responsive front-end applications using React and TypeScript.
- Build and maintain back-end services using Node.js.
- Deploy and support applications hosted within Azure Web Apps.
- Work closely with Corporate Governance teams and key stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver business solutions.
- Demonstrate new functionality, gather feedback, and rapidly iterate on enhancements.
- Utilise GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering efficiency.
- Contribute to the future evolution of the platform, including AI-driven capabilities and intelligent search functionality.

Experience:
- Proven commercial experience as a Full-Stack Software Engineer, delivering scalable, production-ready applications.
- Strong SQL Server and Azure SQL experience, including database design, query optimisation, performance tuning, and data integrity.
- Strong commercial development experience with React, Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Experience deploying, managing, and supporting applications within Microsoft Azure, including Azure Web Apps.
- Experience using GitHub Copilot and modern AI-assisted development tools.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Experience delivering secure, production-ready, business-critical applications.
- Experience with modern AI technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Embeddings, Vector Databases, and Semantic Search.
- Experience integrating AI capabilities into enterprise business applications.

Contract:
- Initial 6-month contract
- Competitive day rate | Outside IR35
- Hybrid working | 3 days per week in West London
