What You Would Actually Be Building
Our client builds a SaaS platform that keeps field workers safe on dangerous sites. Workers wear a device, the platform knows where they are relative to hazard zones, and it alerts before someone walks into one. It runs across rail, highways, construction, aviation, water and energy projects. Trackside, roadworks, airfields. The places where being in the wrong spot at the wrong moment is a fatality rather than a near miss.
That is the product. The software you write stops people being hit by trains and plant machinery.
Why the Architecture Looks Like It Does
Position data streams continuously from GNSS, cellular, Bluetooth and UWB devices worn by workers in the field, over connectivity that is often poor, at real volume, where a dropped or late message has a safety consequence.
That is why this is microservices with DAPR, event-driven with Kafka and Event Hubs, containerised on Kubernetes and running across two clouds. It is not architecture for its own sake. It is a system that cannot go down.

The Role
Full Stack Developer in the SaaS engineering team, working directly with Product Owners, UX Designers and Test Engineers. You will work front to back, turning requirements and designs into production functionality and contributing to APIs, microservices, event-driven systems and the wider platform architecture.
Blazor and Razor on the front end, so no framework churn. You do not need commercial Blazor experience. Strong C# and .NET with React, Angular, Vue or MVC behind you is enough, and they will teach you DAPR and the positioning side.

This is the part worth reading twice. Most.NET roles in Kent at this level are a legacy monolith with a bit of Azure bolted on. Here you would pick up:

- Geospatial processing and real-time IoT telemetry
- Scope to cross-train into Go alongside the.NET work

Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain full stack applications using C# and.NET 8
- Develop front end functionality using Blazor and Razor
- Work with Product Owners and UX Designers to turn requirements and wireframes into working software
- Design and develop APIs and microservices
- Work with DAPR and distributed application patterns
- Build event-driven systems using Kafka or Azure Event Hubs
- Develop and deploy across Azure and AWS
- Work with Docker and Kubernetes
- Follow test-driven development practices, including unit and automated testing
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practice
- Contribute to platform architecture and technical decisions
Essential Experience
- Strong commercial C# and.NET development experience
- Modern.NET or.NET Core
- Full stack development experience
- Blazor, Razor, MVC, React, Angular or Vue
- Experience designing or working with APIs
- Understanding of microservices architecture
- Commercial cloud experience with Azure and/or AWS
- Agile development teams, Git and version control
- Strong problem solving and debugging
- Right to work in the UK, no sponsorship available
- Able to work onsite in Kings Hill 2 days a week
