Role: Full Stack Developer (Python + FastAPI + ReactJS)
Location: London, UK
Work Mode: Hybrid (2 days per week onsite)
Contract Duration: 6-12 Months
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in Python, FastAPI, and ReactJS to join a high-performing development team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building scalable web applications, developing RESTful APIs, and working with modern frontend technologies in a cloud-native environment. This role requires excellent coding skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and experience working across the full software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Python, FastAPI, and ReactJS.
- Build secure, high-performance REST APIs and backend services.
- Develop responsive and reusable frontend components using ReactJS, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Integrate backend services with PostgreSQL and other relational or NoSQL databases.
- Implement containerized applications using Docker.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, QA, and DevOps engineers.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best engineering practices.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
- Ensure application scalability, reliability, and security.

Required Skills & Experience
Primary Skills
- Strong experience with Python development.
- Hands-on experience with FastAPI.
- Solid ReactJS development experience.
- Experience with Docker and containerization technologies.
Secondary Skills
- AWS Cloud Services.
- PostgreSQL.
- SQLAlchemy or similar ORM frameworks.
Backend Development
- Experience building RESTful APIs and web services.
- Strong understanding of API architecture and integrations.
- Experience with database connectivity modules and ORM frameworks.
- Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
Core Python Skills
- Strong understanding of Python fundamentals.
- Excellent knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
- Understanding of time and space complexity.
- Experience writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
Frontend Development
- ReactJS.
- React Query.
- JavaScript and TypeScript.
- HTML5 and CSS3.
- Cross-browser compatible development.
- State management using Redux or MobX.
- Material UI.

Testing & Quality
- Unit testing using PyTest, Jest, or similar frameworks.
- End-to-end testing using Cypress.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Git version control.
Additional Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Understanding of browser rendering and frontend performance optimization.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Technical Assessment
Please note that shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a technical coding assessment.
- Candidates will complete a coding exercise.
- The assessment must be completed without using internet resources or AI tools.
- An additional live coding exercise may also be conducted during the client interview.
- Candidates should be comfortable with this assessment process before submission.
