Full Stack Engineer (LLM/AI)

£450 per day | Outside IR35 | 3-6 Month Contract | Hybrid (London) - 2 days onsite | ASAP Start

Our trusted EdTech partner, supporting over 600 million users across 100 countries, is looking for an experienced Full Stack Engineer to help deliver the next generation of AI-powered language learning and assessment products.

You'll be a hands-on engineer with strong Python, React, JavaScript/TypeScript and AWS experience, developing scalable cloud-native applications and integrating AI capabilities into production systems.

Recent experience developing Chat or Messaging applications within the Education or Learning sector is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Python, React and AWS.
  • Contribute to technical architecture, solution design and engineering best practice.
  • Build high-quality, secure and performant software through short delivery iterations.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, QA and Engineering teams.
  • Participate in code reviews, mentor engineers and continuously improve the platform.

What We're Looking For:

We're looking for engineers, not just developers. You'll understand how software performs in production and be comfortable making architectural decisions and balancing technical trade-offs.

Essential experience:

  • Python, React and JavaScript/TypeScript
  • AWS cloud engineering
  • Chat or Messaging platform integration
  • REST API development
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • Observability (logs, metrics, tracing and performance monitoring)
  • Software architecture and distributed systems/microservices
  • AI / LLM integration, with an understanding of model capabilities and limitations—not just using AI to generate code.
