Full Stack Developer | C#/.NET & Python

Birmingham - Twice Per Month

Up to £60,000 + 10% Bonus

My client is building one of the UK's leading vehicle logistics platforms, combining modern software engineering, optimisation and machine learning to solve complex real-world problems at scale. As the business continues to grow, we're looking for developers from a range of backgrounds to join the team.

We're interested in three types of candidates:

Option 1: Commercial Software Engineer

  • 1-3+ years of commercial C#/.NET development experience
  • Strong understanding of software engineering best practices
  • Experience working on production systems
  • Interest in learning Python and working on optimisation problems

Option 2: Research / Academic Engineer

  • PhD, Postdoctoral Researcher or Lecturer
  • Mathematics or Physics background
  • Strong Python experience
  • Looking to apply analytical and research skills within industry and happy to learn C#/.NET

Option 3: Hybrid Profile

  • Commercial software development experience in C#/.NET
  • Strong mathematical, scientific or analytical background
  • Interested in algorithms, optimisation and data-driven problem solving
  • Keen to work across both platform engineering and advanced technical challenges

What You'll Be Doing

  • Building and enhancing features within a modern.NET application
  • Developing scalable, reliable software used by major automotive businesses
  • Working on optimisation and route-planning challenges
  • Collaborating with a highly technical engineering team
  • Contributing to Python-based tooling and algorithms where relevant
