Full Stack Engineer, Frontend Focus
£65,000–£85,000 + Equity | Remote, UK / Europe

Techmunity is recruiting a Full Stack Engineer for a fast-growing travel technology company reinventing the traditional travel agency with AI.
They combine AI-powered personalisation, real bookable inventory and human expertise to give customers the convenience of booking online with the service of a high-end travel agent. That covers the whole trip: five-star stays, luxury villas, yachts, private jets and flights, all booked directly rather than handed off elsewhere.
And it's working. 1M+ stays across 50K+ destinations and 120+ countries. More than half of bookings come through referrals, 80%+ of customers book again, and sales volumes have grown 10x+ since their pre-seed.
The company is already profitable, with ambitious plans for its next stage of growth and backing from senior figures at Google, Goldman Sachs, Blackstone and Barclays.
You'd join while the engineering team is still small, working directly with a Founding Frontend Engineer who spent nearly five years building products at Spotify used by millions, and a CTO in the top 0.27% of Stack Overflow contributors.

The Full Stack Engineer role
Frontend-focused, but full-stack in practice. You'd own product areas from the initial problem through to production rather than being one engineer inside a large delivery team.
- Internal platform: Their travel team runs on this. Quoting, recommendations, bookings, amendments, cancellations and payments in one system. Genuinely complex operational workflows that have to feel simple to use, because every minute saved goes back into serving customers.
- Customer-facing product: React, Next.js and TypeScript, where component architecture, state management, performance and how it behaves on a bad connection all decide whether someone books or leaves.
- Mobile: They're bringing more of it in-house as the product grows, so there's a real opportunity to shape how the platform works beyond the browser.
- Features that don't stop at the browser: Node services, APIs and supplier integrations, where availability moves constantly and requests fail halfway through.
- The architecture underneath: Reusable patterns, component boundaries and frontend practices, set now while the codebase is still small enough to get right.
They already run in-house machine learning and generative AI in production across search, recommendations, booking and internal travel tooling, so a lot of what you'd build sits directly on top of it.

Who they're looking for
- 3+ years' commercial software engineering experience, with React, Next.js and TypeScript central to your recent work
- Depth in frontend architecture rather than familiarity with a single framework, and strong fundamentals across component design, state management, browser behaviour and performance
- Experience building consumer-facing or workflow-heavy applications where polish, reliability and usability genuinely mattered
- Enough full-stack experience to follow a feature into Node services and APIs
- Strong product judgement and ownership, with difficult problems you can point to and say you solved
Experience with React Native or native mobile, design systems and component libraries, or payments, travel and complex supplier integrations would be particularly useful, but not essential.
£65,000–£85,000 plus equity. Remote across the UK and Europe, with a slight preference for UK-based candidates. The team is currently split between London and Sweden.
