Full Stack Engineer

We’re working with a growing UK technology platform looking for an experienced Full Stack Engineer to take ownership of an important production engineering project.

This is a Cambridge-based hybrid role, so applicants must be able to work on-site in Cambridge on a regular basis.

The initial focus will be designing and implementing multi-role RBAC / permissions architecture within an existing platform, alongside broader improvements across the application.

The stack

  • TypeScript
  • Node.js / Express
  • PostgreSQL / Prisma
  • Next.js / React
  • JWT authentication
  • GitHub Actions

(Equivalent technologies and transferable experience will be considered)

What you’ll be doing:

  • Design and implement role-based access control across an existing application
  • Define roles, permissions and access rules across different user types
  • Make associated database/schema changes and migrations
  • Implement secure API and frontend permission handling
  • Build and own product features and user workflows end-to-end
  • Improve application architecture, reliability, security and test coverage
  • Work directly with product and leadership on technical decisions and trade-offs
  • Integrate new functionality into an existing production codebase
  • Take ownership of changes from database and backend through to frontend and production

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
