Company Description

MindClon Inc. is a judgment infrastructure company focused on making high-stakes AI safer and more reliable in real-world settings. As AI moves from content generation and productivity tools into operational decisions, institutional workflows, and physical systems, MindClon builds technologies that help organizations govern AI actions within their own data, policy, and security boundaries. The company reduces reliance on stateless public APIs by enabling local inference, compute, and action governance tailored to sectors such as healthcare, defence, finance, insurance, law, and critical infrastructure. For Physical AI, including robotics, autonomous systems, and clinical devices, MindClon provides a judgment layer that helps systems decide whether to act, defer, escalate, or seek human confirmation. MindClon is dedicated to creating the judgment infrastructure needed as AI transitions from language to action and from screens to embodied intelligence.

Role Description

The Full Stack Engineer will design, develop, and maintain end-to-end web applications and services that support MindClon’s judgment infrastructure platform. This full-time, on-site role in the Greater Glasgow Area involves building scalable APIs, integrating front-end interfaces with back-end services, and collaborating with product and research teams to translate complex AI governance requirements into robust software solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing secure and efficient data flows, optimizing system performance, writing clean and testable code, and participating in code reviews. The engineer will also contribute to architecture decisions, deploy and monitor production systems, and help improve development processes and tooling.

Qualifications

  • Strong back-end web development skills, with experience in Software Development and Full-Stack Development.
  • Proficiency in front-end development, including modern JavaScript frameworks and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).
  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining distributed systems, microservices, or cloud-native applications.
  • Knowledge of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), API design, and integration with external services.
  • Familiarity with secure coding practices, authentication/authorization, and data privacy considerations.
  • Comfort working with AI/ML-driven systems or data-intensive applications is beneficial.
  • Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and document technical decisions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Interest in AI safety, governance, or high-stakes applications of technology is highly valued.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Web frontends: React + TypeScript (+ Vite) for enterprise and internal platforms
  • AI/LLM systems: self-hosted open models (Qwen via vLLM/Ollama), Whisper transcription pipelines, RAG, model gateways with cloud-first/local-fallback routing, fine-tuning experiments, LLM evals
  • Delivery: GitHub Actions CI/CD (including mobile builds), security scanning (gitleaks, osv-scanner, semgrep), Firebase multi-environment deploys (dev/prod)

Responsibilities

  • Ship features end-to-end across 2–3 active products at a time, from Firestore schema and security rules through UI
  • Design offline-first, per-user-isolated data models — Firebase Security Rules are our real access control, and you'll treat them that way
  • Build and maintain Cloud Functions and FastAPI services with UK/EU data residency
  • Integrate and operate LLM features: transcription, summarisation, retrieval, structured extraction — mostly on self-hosted models
  • Keep the security bar: no secrets in git, no PII/PHI in logs, consent-gated analytics, validated boundaries
  • Write tests as part of the definition of done; keep CI green; participate in release gates for develop → main cuts
  • Work ticket-driven: rich Jira tickets with acceptance criteria, meaningful PR descriptions, batched changes

Must have

  • 3+ years building and shipping full-stack products
  • Strong in at least two of: Flutter/Dart, TypeScript/Node, Python — and genuinely willing to work across all three
  • Production experience with Firebase or a comparable managed backend (auth, NoSQL data modelling, serverless functions)
  • Solid git and PR discipline; comfortable with CI/CD pipelines
  • A security-first mindset for sensitive data; working knowledge of UK GDPR obligations
  • Self-directed: able to take a well-described ticket to production with minimal hand-holding, and to say clearly what's blocked and why

Nice to have

  • NHS or healthtech experience (DSPT, DCB0129/0160, information governance)
  • LLM application engineering: RAG, vLLM/Ollama serving, Whisper/STT, evals, fine-tuning
  • Postgres + pgvector; on-prem or air-gapped deployment experience
  • Riverpod specifically; mobile release pipelines (App Store / Play Store)
  • Playwright or similar E2E automation
