Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in Python and React.js to design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise web applications.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building microservices, REST APIs, cloud-native applications, and modern frontend solutions, along with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Python and React.js.
  • Build and maintain scalable RESTful APIs and backend microservices.
  • Develop responsive, user-friendly frontend interfaces using React.js.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, DevOps, QA, and cross-functional teams.
  • Optimize applications for performance, security, scalability, and reliability.
  • Participate in code reviews and promote clean coding and development best practices.
  • Work within Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve production issues.
  • Contribute to technical design and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Technical Skills

Backend

  • Strong hands-on experience with Python.
  • Experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
  • Strong experience in REST API and Microservices development.
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
  • Strong SQL and database design knowledge.

Frontend

  • Strong hands-on experience with React.js.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
  • Strong knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3.
  • Experience with Redux and React Hooks.
  • Experience developing responsive and user-friendly UIs.

Databases

  • Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
  • MongoDB experience is preferred.

Cloud & DevOps

  • Experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with Git, GitHub, or GitLab.

Good to Have

  • Experience within the Financial Services or Banking domain.
  • Exposure to event-driven architectures.
  • Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • Knowledge of Terraform / Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks such as PyTest and Jest.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of software development experience.
  • Strong experience developing enterprise-scale applications.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proven experience working in enterprise-scale technology environments.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Comfortable working in a fully onsite environment in London.
