Full-Stack Software Engineer | London, UK
At Avenues, we are reshaping how technology supports reproductive medicine and patient care. We are looking for a London-based Full-Stack Software Engineer (2+ years experience) to help us design, build, and maintain high-impact patient-facing tools and clinical systems.
Responsibilities
- Build End-to-End Solutions: Design, write, and maintain clean, scalable full-stack applications for both patient platforms and internal clinical operations.
- Integrate Systems: Seamlessly connect internal tools with essential third-party healthcare systems.
- Data & Compliance: Ensure our software meets strict health data regulations and privacy standards.
- Own the Cycle: Manage database engineering, BI dashboards, deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and work closely with non-technical team members on change management.

Requirements
- 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Frontend Knowledge: Proficiency with modern web frameworks (React, Next.js, Vue, or Angular).
- Backend Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with Node.js or Python, plus SQL databases.
- DevOps & Tools: Experience with Docker, version control (Git), CI/CD, and software design principles.
- Communication: Ability to collaborate, translate ideas, and extract requirements from non-technical medical colleagues.

Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Background in healthcare tech, health data, or clinical software.
- Familiarity with UX/UI prototyping tools like Figma or Adobe XD.
- A degree in computing, biological sciences, or a clinical field.
