Full Stack Engineer (AI Platform)

💰 £80,000 to £85,000

📍 London based, hybrid with occasional office days, and some travel to the UAE.

Company & role

This role sits with a global IT solutions provider standing up something genuinely different: an autonomous rapid prototyping pod for banking, insurance and fintech clients. A small, elite team that wins its own work, takes an ambiguous client problem, and turns it into a working AI prototype in four to five weeks, then hardens it into production grade product.

You will build and ship the platform that underpins that delivery, a modern web application that moves between client facing demonstrations and hardened production services. This is a genuine end to end role. You own features from the user interface through the API, data layer, deployment and support, giving the team a single owner across the full stack rather than a handover gap between front end and back end.

You will take working prototypes from the pod's AI engineers and turn them into scalable, secure product.

Why This Role Stands Out

The pod is built for engineers who want to engineer. It is fully autonomous and protects your time: no L2 tickets, no incident queues, no being pulled onto other departments' work, no meeting culture. You own your features and you ship them.

You get true end to end ownership across user interface, API, data and deployment, real AI exposure building the interfaces, APIs and data flows that power chat, retrieval and agentic systems, and a modern cloud and GPU stack behind it. The working pattern is genuinely flexible, mostly remote with occasional London days.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

There is a growing UAE dimension to the business too. Nothing is expected, but if working in or relocating to the UAE would ever appeal, they will back you to do it.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build modern front ends using React, Vue or Angular with TypeScript, responsive layouts, accessibility and reusable components
  • Design and implement APIs, services, authentication, authorisation and integrations using Node.js, Python, Java, Go or C# and .NET
  • Connect screens, forms and dashboards to backend APIs with clean contracts, sensible state management and graceful error handling
  • Design and optimise relational data models across Oracle, Azure SQL and PostgreSQL
  • Deploy and operate applications on Azure, including containers, managed databases, secrets management and application monitoring
  • Support AI enabled features such as chat interfaces, retrieval workflows, vector search, inference APIs and GPU backed workloads
  • Build APIs and interfaces that agentic systems can consume safely, with clear contracts, deterministic responses and audit logging
  • Implement observability and resilience across features, and write tests spanning the front end, API layer, data and critical end to end journeys
  • Contribute to code reviews across the stack, enforce standards and mentor junior engineers
