Role: Senior Full Stack Engineer (AI-focused)
Location: Sheffield, UK
Work Mode: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week
Contract: 9-12 months
Role Overview
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer with an AI focus to develop modern, scalable applications. The role requires strong frontend expertise in React and TypeScript, combined with backend/API development and practical experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into products.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-quality full-stack applications.
- Build responsive and scalable frontend applications using React and TypeScript.
- Design and develop backend APIs and integrations.
- Ensure applications meet performance, security, and scalability requirements.
- Build and integrate AI/ML-driven features into production applications.
- Work with modern AI models, frameworks, and tooling.
- Develop AI/data services using Python where appropriate.
- Work with structured and unstructured data.
- Support data pipelines, data modelling, analytics, and feature engineering.
- Implement CI/CD, automation, and environment management.
- Implement monitoring and observability across applications and services.
- Provide technical direction and mentor other engineers.
- Conduct code reviews and promote engineering best practices.
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Delivery teams.

AI/ML Requirements
- Hands-on experience building or integrating AI-driven features into products.
- Experience with modern AI/ML models and tooling.
- Ability to integrate AI services into full-stack applications.
- Experience with Python for AI/data workloads is highly advantageous.
- Understanding of data pipelines, modelling, and structured/unstructured data is beneficial.
Leadership & Engineering
- Technical leadership and decision-making.
- Mentoring and supporting other engineers.
- Code reviews.
- Testing and quality standards.
- Documentation and maintainability.
- Security and performance.
- Collaboration with product and delivery stakeholders.
Key Requirement
Candidates must be comfortable working 3 days per week onsite in Sheffield, UK.
