Full Stack Engineer

Mid–Senior Level | Manchester | Hybrid – 3 Days On-Site

We’re partnering with an ambitious, product-led Manchester technology start-up that has achieved product-market fit and is entering an exciting new phase of growth. Its technology connects consumers with service providers, creating a simpler and more intuitive experience for both sides of the marketplace.

The business is now looking for a hands-on Full Stack Engineer who can work confidently across the front and back end, take ownership of features and turn ideas into well-built customer-facing products.

You’ll work closely with the Founding Engineer and company founders, taking features from initial idea and exploration through to build, launch and iteration. As an early, senior-leaning member of the engineering team, you’ll have genuine influence over technical decisions, engineering standards and how the product evolves as the business scales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build clean, maintainable and well-tested software using React, Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Own features across the full development lifecycle, from idea through to launch
  • Improve the product using customer feedback, user behaviour and performance data
  • Manage integrations with payment providers, app stores, calendars and email platforms
  • Oversee infrastructure and contribute to CI/CD pipelines
  • Make pragmatic decisions around architecture, technical debt and build versus buy
  • Maintain strong standards around security and data protection
  • Participate in lightweight sprint planning, refinement and retrospectives
  • Collaborate closely with founders, designers, customers and other stakeholders

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
