Senior Full Stack Software Engineer | Java, Spring Boot & React

📍 London | Hybrid: 2 days per week in the office

đź’· Salary up to ÂŁ90,000

James Adams is working with a global financial information business to recruit a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer.

You’ll build applications that help analysts and business teams work with complex financial data, with scope to influence technical architecture, improve engineering standards and mentor other developers.

The core stack is Java, Spring Boot and React. Experience with C#/.NET or Python would also be useful, but isn’t essential.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Designing and developing scalable applications, combining Java and Spring Boot services with responsive React interfaces.
  • Making architectural decisions and helping establish consistent engineering practices across teams.
  • Working closely with product managers, analysts and stakeholders to turn business requirements into practical solutions.
  • Improving application performance, reliability and maintainability.
  • Contributing to CI/CD pipelines, code reviews and technical discussions.
  • Mentoring engineers and exploring practical uses of emerging technologies, including AI.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
