About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Engineer / Technical Lead to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for shaping the technical strategy and architecture of multiple Developer Ecosystems, including iOS, Web, and Infrastructure/Automation. Your expertise will be instrumental in defining best practices for API and SDK design, ensuring these interfaces are consistent, user-friendly, and scalable to support billions of messages processed daily. You will lead complex, cross-team initiatives aimed at expanding and refining client libraries, contributing significantly to the company's core products.
As a Technical Lead, you will oversee the entire development lifecycle—from initial design and implementation through to deployment, maintenance, and continuous product evolution. Mentoring junior engineers, reviewing code contributions, and raising the technical standards across the team will be key aspects of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will manage external contributors and open-source collaborations, acting as a vital interface with the developer community. Your role will involve gathering feedback from users and stakeholders to influence product direction and ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.

This position offers flexibility with remote working, with the opportunity to collaborate asynchronously via Slack and participate in monthly in-person meetings at the company's North London office, which is dog-friendly and hosts various tech events like lunch and learn sessions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a senior software engineer, particularly in building developer tooling and APIs.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Ruby, TypeScript, and React.
- Experience working within a product-focused B2B SaaS environment.
- Demonstrated ability to make strategic technical decisions that drive project success and elevate team standards.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude and Cursor, and understanding of their application in process optimization.
- Customer-centric and product-oriented mindset.
- Collaborative, pragmatic, and experienced in technical leadership and mentoring.
- Solid understanding of Computer Science fundamentals, including Object-Oriented Programming, Data Structures, and Design Patterns.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical strategy and architecture for multiple Developer Ecosystems, ensuring alignment with company goals and scalability requirements.
- Design, develop, and maintain APIs and SDKs, adhering to best practices for usability, consistency, and scalability.
- Oversee the full development lifecycle, from initial design through deployment, maintenance, and product enhancement.
- Mentor and review contributions from junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high-quality code.
- Manage external contributors and open-source collaborations, ensuring effective integration and community engagement.
- Act as a key interface with the developer community, incorporating feedback to guide product improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technical requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to continually improve the company's technical offerings.
