Full Stack Developer (Contract)

Location: Stratford, London

Contract: 3 Months

Rate: £450/day (Inside IR35)

What we're looking for:

We're seeking an engineer, not just a coder—someone who understands how software works beyond writing code and can make sound technical decisions.

Key requirements:

  • Strong Full Stack development experience with deep knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Solid understanding of system architecture, software engineering principles, and system design
  • Previous Java experience is highly desirable
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong understanding of APIs and backend integrations
  • Experience with observability, including metrics, logs, traces, latency, and monitoring
  • Good understanding of distributed systems vs. microservices
  • Experience explaining technical decisions, trade-offs, deployments, and system improvements
  • Practical experience working with LLMs, including prompting, querying, and understanding their limitations
  • Comfortable using AI as a development aid, while maintaining strong coding ability and engineering judgement—this role requires hands-on software engineering, not reliance on AI-generated code.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
