Senior Full-Stack Engineer – React, .NET & Azure
Location: Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom
Employment Type: Full-time
Work Model: Hybrid
Overview
Senior full-stack engineering role building and enhancing modern digital platforms using React, Next.js, C#/.NET and Microsoft Azure. The role combines hands-on development with technical design, cloud engineering, platform resilience and mentoring.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain secure, scalable web applications, APIs and digital integrations.
- Build modern front-end applications using React and Next.js.
- Develop backend services and REST APIs using C# and .NET.
- Drive technical design decisions and contribute to architecture and engineering standards.
- Develop cloud-native solutions using Microsoft Azure, including CI/CD and observability.
- Collaborate with Product, UX, Architecture and business teams on digital platforms and technology modernisation.
- Investigate complex production issues and lead root cause analysis.
- Improve platform performance, resilience, security and operational excellence.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to reusable services and engineering best practices.

- Strong experience with React and Next.js.
- Strong C# and.NET experience building backend services and REST APIs.
- Practical Microsoft Azure and cloud-native development experience.
- Experience with Git, GitHub Actions and modern CI/CD practices.
- Strong understanding of accessibility, SEO, security, performance optimisation and SQL.
- Strong communication, problem-solving and mentoring skills.
- Experience with enterprise-scale digital platforms is advantageous.
- Terraform/IaC, Sitecore XM Cloud, Vercel, Playwright, Storybook, GraphQL, CodeQL or SonarQube experience is a plus.
