About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer with expertise in Java and Angular to join Morson Edge's dynamic engineering team. This is a fully remote, permanent position based in the UK, offering the opportunity to work on high-scale applications within a modern AWS cloud environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, a passion for solving complex problems, and the ability to lead technical initiatives without necessarily holding a formal management title. As a key contributor, you will influence the technical direction, support fellow engineers, and take ownership of delivering high-quality, scalable products that impact a broad user base.
Qualifications
- Proven commercial experience with Java development, demonstrating a strong understanding of object-oriented programming and best practices.
- Extensive experience working with TypeScript and Angular, with a solid grasp of building responsive and maintainable front-end applications.
- Deep understanding of REST APIs, distributed systems, and microservices architecture.
- Significant experience working within AWS cloud environments, including deploying, managing, and optimizing cloud-native applications.
- Ability to design and develop scalable, resilient, and high-performance applications suitable for large-scale deployment.
- Strong knowledge of software engineering principles, including code quality, testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
- Experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to junior or peer engineers.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence technical decisions and collaborate effectively across teams.

Responsibilities
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Morson Edge, your responsibilities will include:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable applications across the full technology stack, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Contributing to the architectural decisions and technical standards that guide the development team.
- Building new features and functionalities while continuously improving existing services to meet evolving business needs.
- Solving complex technical challenges related to distributed systems, cloud deployment, and application resilience.
- Collaborating with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions aligned with business goals.
- Leading by example, mentoring less experienced engineers, and fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- Supporting the deployment, monitoring, and optimization of applications within the AWS environment.
- Participating in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices, and promoting a high standard of code quality.
- Contributing to the development of engineering standards, best practices, and documentation to streamline workflows.
