About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) to join our talented cross-functional Agile team based in the UK. In this role, you will be pivotal in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and efficient digital solutions for our clients. You will work closely with product owners, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality software that meets business objectives. Your expertise in Java, Vue.js, and related technologies will be instrumental in shaping the backend architecture and frontend interfaces of our projects. Additionally, you will play a mentorship role, guiding junior engineers and helping establish best practices within the team. This position offers a hybrid/remote working arrangement, providing flexibility and the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues across various locations in the UK.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full-stack development with proven experience in Java and Vue.js frameworks. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required, with a preference for candidates holding a master’s degree or higher. You should possess at least 5 years of professional experience in software development, with demonstrated expertise in designing scalable backend systems and modern frontend interfaces. Familiarity with Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is essential. Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive attitude towards learning and innovation are also critical for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend architectures using Java and related technologies, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Create dynamic, user-friendly frontend interfaces utilizing Vue.js and modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, to ensure timely delivery of features.
- Mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Establish and promote best practices in coding, testing, and deployment to enhance team productivity and code quality.
- Contribute to backend architecture decisions, including database design and API development, to support application scalability and security.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions.
