ScandVPN is a privacy-first VPN service that provides secure, encrypted internet connections with a single tap. Built on modern WireGuard technology, it offers fast, reliable connections across a growing global network of servers with automatic load balancing for optimal performance. ScandVPN operates a strict no-logs policy, ensuring that browsing activity is never tracked, stored, or sold. Available on Android, iOS, and as a Chrome browser extension, a single account can be used across multiple devices. The service is designed to protect users on public Wi-Fi, secure remote work, and keep connections private and fast while traveling.
Role Description
The Full Stack Engineer will work in a full-time, remote capacity to design, build, and maintain features across ScandVPN’s web applications and supporting services. Daily responsibilities include:

- Developing responsive user interfaces
- Implementing secure and efficient APIs
- Integrating front-end and back-end components to deliver a seamless user experience

The role involves collaborating with product and security teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions, reviewing code for quality and performance, and monitoring systems to ensure reliability and uptime. The engineer will also participate in continuous improvement efforts, including refactoring, optimization, and adoption of modern tools and best practices to enhance security, speed, and maintainability.
Qualifications
- Front-End Development Skills:
- Strong experience with modern JavaScript frameworks and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).
- Back-End Web Development Skills:
- Solid experience building APIs, working with databases, and implementing secure server-side logic.
- Software Development and Full-Stack Development Skills:
- Ability to design, implement, test, and maintain end-to-end solutions.
- Security-focused Development, Networking Concepts, or VPN Technologies:
- Experience is highly beneficial.
- Version Control, Automated Testing, and CI/CD Pipelines:
- Proficiency is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Clear communication skills
- Comfort working in a remote, collaborative environment
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience is advantageous.
