Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

Location: Glasgow
Salary: Competitive + benefits
Working pattern: Hybrid

The Role

We’re looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to join a growing engineering team building sophisticated software across AI, automation, robotics and hardware.
You’ll be involved across the stack, developing applications and services that sit at the heart of a complex technology platform. This is an opportunity to work on challenging engineering problems, influence how products are built and take ownership of features from idea through to production.

You’ll work closely with engineers across software, infrastructure, AI and hardware, so being comfortable working across disciplines and communicating with different technical teams is important.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Build and deliver robust, scalable full-stack applications.
  • Turn product and technical requirements into well-designed software.
  • Take ownership of projects and features through design, implementation, testing and deployment.
  • Develop backend services and APIs using Python, alongside modern frontend applications.
  • Build intuitive interfaces using TypeScript and React.
  • Design and work with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
  • Contribute to system architecture and technical design decisions.
  • Improve engineering standards around testing, code quality, documentation and delivery.
  • Work with cloud and infrastructure teams to ensure applications are reliable and production-ready.
  • Support and mentor less experienced engineers.
  • Help shape engineering processes, development practices and technical direction.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
