About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full Stack Lead Engineer to join our Application Platform Team. This leadership role requires a blend of technical expertise and people management skills to guide and mentor engineering teams in delivering high-quality, scalable, and reliable solutions. As a Lead Engineer, you will work closely with platform, product, and data teams to develop innovative systems that meet business needs while adhering to best practices in software development. Your role will be pivotal in fostering a collaborative environment, supporting engineering growth, and ensuring the consistent delivery of production-ready solutions.

Qualifications

  • Proven hands-on experience with modern programming languages and frameworks such as .NET, Python, React, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, with bonus familiarity in Go or Rust.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native environments, including Kubernetes, Helm, and GitOps practices.
  • Experience working with platform teams and deploying applications in cloud environments such as GCP and Azure.
  • Solid knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, testing, and deployment automation using tools like GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Octopus.
  • Deep understanding of Kubernetes patterns, secrets management, and multi-cloud strategies.
  • Familiarity with observability tools such as New Relic and the principles of monitoring and alerting in production systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing engineering teams, supporting professional growth, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Experience working within Agile methodologies, maintaining pragmatic processes that enhance productivity and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and technical excellence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including platform, product, and data teams to design and implement scalable, reliable systems.
  • Ensure the development and deployment of high-quality code that adheres to best practices and industry standards.
  • Drive the adoption of cloud-native technologies, including Kubernetes, Helm, and GitOps practices, across projects.
  • Oversee CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and deployment processes to streamline release cycles and improve system stability.
  • Participate in architectural discussions, providing technical guidance and setting strategic direction for platform development.
  • Support operational excellence by implementing observability practices and tools to monitor system health and performance.
  • Promote a collaborative environment that encourages innovation, feedback, and continuous learning among team members.
  • Engage with stakeholders to communicate technical concepts clearly and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending enhancements to improve system capabilities.
