Full Stack Engineer – Crypto / Algorithmic Trading

πŸ“ London | Hybrid
πŸ’» Full-time
πŸ“ˆ Crypto / Digital Assets / Algorithmic Trading

We are working with a leading crypto-native algorithmic trading firm looking to hire an experienced Full Stack Engineer to join its London team.

This is a frontend-leaning full stack role, where you'll build sophisticated, high-performance applications used by traders, clients, and internal teams.

The majority of your focus will be across React and TypeScript, building complex interfaces around real-time trading and market data. However, you'll also work across the stack and will need previous backend exposure to Python and/or Go.

What You'll Be Working On

  • Building sophisticated applications using React and TypeScript
  • Developing intuitive interfaces for traders and clients
  • Building dashboards and applications displaying real-time trading and market data
  • Handling asynchronous and streaming data within browser-based applications
  • Integrating with REST and WebSocket APIs
  • Designing reusable frontend components and scalable application architecture
  • Working across the backend where required using Python and/or Go
  • Contributing to backend services, APIs, and data models
  • Improving application performance, reliability, and security
  • Working closely with traders, product teams, and other engineers
  • Taking ownership of features from initial idea through to production

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer β€” it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet β€” that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience within crypto, fintech, trading, or financial markets would be advantageous, but isn't essential. An interest in algorithmic trading and digital assets is highly valued.

Why Consider It?

  • You'll be joining a highly technical and entrepreneurial trading environment where engineers work closely with the traders and teams using the technology they build.
  • You'll have the opportunity to build products from scratch, solve challenging real-time engineering problems, and take significant ownership over both technical and product decisions.

The team operates a hybrid model from its central London office, with flexibility around working from home (3 days in office) and working hours.

Salary: Β£140,000 - Β£170,000 / 50% - 100% Bonus +

Benefits: Free food/drink in the office, work vacations, conferences, academic allowances, pension, healthcare
