Full Stack Engineer | React & Node.js | London (Hybrid – 2 Days Per Week in Office) | £60,000 - £80,000 + Benefits

We're working with a growing technology business that is investing heavily in its engineering function and looking to add a talented Full Stack Engineer to the team.

This is an opportunity to join a product-focused environment where engineers have real ownership, contribute to technical decisions, and work on software that is used by thousands of customers. You'll be joining a collaborative team building modern, scalable applications using React, Node.js, and cloud-native technologies.

The Role

As a Full Stack Engineer, you'll work across the entire development lifecycle, helping to design, build, and improve customer-facing products and internal platforms. You'll collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and fellow Engineers to deliver high-quality software while contributing to architectural discussions and engineering best practices.

You'll have the chance to work on new feature development, platform improvements, and scalability initiatives within a modern engineering environment.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Building and maintaining web applications using React and Node.js
  • Developing scalable APIs and backend services
  • Collaborating with Product and Design teams to deliver new features
  • Contributing to system design and technical decision-making
  • Writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
  • Participating in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions
  • Supporting continuous improvement across engineering processes and tooling
  • Helping to improve application performance, reliability, and scalability

What We're Looking For

  • Commercial experience building applications with React and Node.js
  • Strong JavaScript or TypeScript development skills
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs and backend services
  • Understanding of modern frontend development practices
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Knowledge of databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern software engineering practices
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach

Nice To Have

  • Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker
  • Exposure to microservices or event-driven architectures
  • Experience working in product-led or high-growth technology businesses
  • Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools
