Role: Full Stack Software Engineer

About Us
Our client is a well-established financial technology firm operating in fast-moving global markets, growing out its engineering team in London. They build their own trading and client-facing tools in-house, and this role sits at the centre of that effort — spanning both the systems behind the product and the experience people actually interact with.
You'd be joining a small, senior engineering group with genuine end-to-end ownership. Rather than working on one narrow slice of a mature product, you'd help shape how a platform is built and evolves, working closely with people across product, design, and the wider business.

What You'll Do
- Build and own features across the full stack, from backend services through to the interface on top
- Design and implement APIs and data services in a modern backend language
- Build modern, performant web interfaces that consume those services
- Take features from concept through to production with real ownership
- Work closely with product, design, and engineering to shape how the platform evolves
- Contribute to infrastructure and architecture decisions as the product scales
What You'll Bring
- Several years of professional experience across both backend and frontend development
- Strong backend fundamentals in a modern language
- Confidence with modern JavaScript/TypeScript and a frontend framework
- Comfortable with cloud infrastructure, containers, and CI/CD
- Solid grasp of databases, caching, and query performance
- Awareness of secure coding practices and common web vulnerabilities
- Experience with financial services or another regulated industry is useful, not essential
