Full Stack Software Engineer | React | Node.js | AWS | Outside IR35
📍 Manchester (Hybrid 2 days on site)

We're partnering with an exciting technology business looking for an experienced Contract Full Stack Software Engineer to join their agile engineering team and help deliver new features across a modern cloud-native platform.
This is a hands-on role where you'll work across the full software development lifecycle, building scalable frontend applications, developing backend services, and supporting cloud deployments within an AWS environment.
As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will:
- Building modern frontend applications using React and TypeScript
- Developing and enhancing REST APIs using Node.js and Express.js
- Working with AWS services including Cognito and supporting cloud-native deployments
- Contributing to containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes
- Designing and maintaining PostgreSQL/MySQL databases using TypeORM or similar ORM tools
- Writing high-quality, well-tested code using Jest, React Testing Library, and Cypress/Playwright
- Collaborating with a cross-functional agile team to deliver scalable, high-quality software

- Strong commercial experience with React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript
- Proven backend development experience with Node.js and Express.js (or NestJS)
- Experience working with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and ORM frameworks such as TypeORM or Prisma
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines, with Kubernetes experience highly desirable
- A strong testing mindset with experience using Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright
- Experience working within agile teams and taking ownership of features from development through to deployment
