Full-Stack Node.js Developer | UK Government Programme | £340/day Inside IR35 | BPSS | Start ASAP
Can you build Node.js on the back end as well as the front, and do you want that code running services that millions of people use?
I'm looking for a Full-Stack Developer to join an Agile, multi-disciplinary team on a major UK government programme. Node.js runs the back end on this project, so we need someone who has built server-side code, not just front-end JavaScript. You'll write well-tested code, build integrations and help bring on the engineers around you.
Why this contract?
- £340 per day inside IR35: clear terms from day one
- Start ASAP: an immediate start for someone ready to go
- Mostly remote: Blackpool is your base office, and you'll only be on site 2–3 times a month
- BPSS only: no SC or DV clearance needed
- Real public impact: you'll build and improve services that support citizens across the UK

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
