About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead Full Stack Developer to join a dynamic UK SaaS technology company that is rapidly scaling. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the development of innovative, data-driven digital products used by commercial teams to enhance customer engagement and understanding. As a key member of the technical leadership team, you will be responsible for guiding and mentoring a talented development squad, shaping the technical vision, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions. The role involves hands-on development, from early-stage design to deployment, working within a modern cloud-based environment. The successful candidate will have a strong background in full-stack development, with expertise in TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, and related technologies, and will thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive set of skills and experience, including:

  • Over 10 years of full-stack software development experience, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale SaaS platforms.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience with JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Strong expertise in system design, scalable architectures, and cloud-native solutions.
  • Experience working with modern tech stacks including Node.js microservices, Vue.js, Redis, SQL Server, Snowflake, and AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps practices, and automated testing frameworks.
  • A solid understanding of software engineering principles, including SOLID, design patterns, and secure coding practices.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • An innovative mindset with an interest in leveraging AI to enhance software development processes.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of technical and leadership duties, including:

  • Leading the technical delivery of projects within a high-performing development team of over 10 members.
  • Contributing to solution design, architecture, and domain modeling to ensure robust, scalable, and maintainable systems.
  • Building proof-of-concept prototypes and exploring complex or uncertain technical areas to inform decision-making.
  • Breaking down complex requirements into manageable epics and user stories in collaboration with product managers and stakeholders.
  • Developing, testing, and deploying production-ready code across the full technology stack.
  • Maintaining high standards for code quality, performance, security, and maintainability.
  • Supporting and enhancing live systems post-deployment to ensure stability and optimal performance.
  • Influencing the technical direction of the team, including tooling, best practices, and engineering processes.
  • Mentoring junior developers and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
