About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Full Stack Software Developer to join our dynamic team at Data Careers. This is a permanent position based in Cheltenham, offering a hybrid working model with 2 to 3 days onsite per week, with expenses covered for travel. The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining innovative software solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other developers, to create scalable, efficient, and robust applications. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects utilizing modern technologies and methodologies, contributing to the company's growth and success.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical background with proven experience in full stack development. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Essential skills include proficiency in React, JavaScript, and TypeScript for front-end development, as well as Node.js and Java (Spring Boot) for back-end services. Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes is required, along with familiarity with microservices architecture. Knowledge of databases like MongoDB, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies is also essential. Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work effectively within a team are key attributes for success in this role.

Responsibilities

The Full Stack Software Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying high-quality software solutions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Translating business requirements into technical specifications
  • Developing responsive and user-friendly interfaces
  • Building scalable back-end services
  • Implementing best practices for code quality, security, and performance optimization
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure seamless integration of components
  • Participating in code reviews
  • Maintaining documentation
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of development processes
  • Staying updated with the latest industry trends
  • Supporting the deployment and monitoring of applications within a cloud environment using Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines
