About DataActions Limited

DataActions Limited is a UK-based technology company delivering end-to-end digital solutions across training, consulting, software development, and product innovation.

The company specializes in:

  • Development of proprietary digital products, including MyChurchNow App
  • Technical training and upskilling in data analytics, AI, automation, and digital tools
  • Consulting and analytics solutions, including dashboards, reporting systems, and workflow automation

DataActions Limited is seeking a Full-Stack Software Developer to develop, maintain and improve web and mobile applications for clients and the companyโ€™s proprietary MyChurchNow product.

The role will cover the full software development lifecycle, including requirements, development, testing, deployment and maintenance, with approximately 65% focused on client projects and 35% on MyChurchNow.

The developer will work across frontend, backend, APIs, databases and application integration, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver reliable and user-focused software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Client Software Development โ€“ approximately 65%

  • Develop and maintain bespoke web and mobile applications for DataActions clients.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into functional software solutions.
  • Develop frontend interfaces and backend application functionality.
  • Build and integrate APIs and third-party services.
  • Develop and maintain application databases and data-access functionality.
  • Implement application features in accordance with agreed technical requirements and specifications.
  • Test software applications, identify defects and implement appropriate fixes.
  • Deploy application updates across development, testing and production environments.
  • Maintain existing client applications and implement enhancements where required.
  • Use Git and appropriate software development practices to manage source code and releases.
  • Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and deliver projects within agreed timescales.

MyChurchNow Product Development โ€“ approximately 35%

  • Maintain and support the existing MyChurchNow web and mobile applications.
  • Develop and implement new features based on product requirements and user needs.
  • Investigate and resolve application bugs, defects and technical issues.
  • Improve application functionality, reliability, usability and performance.
  • Develop and maintain APIs, integrations and database functionality supporting MyChurchNow.
  • Test new features and releases before deployment.
  • Support application updates and ongoing product improvements across relevant platforms.
  • Maintain appropriate technical documentation and source-code repositories.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement and evolution of the MyChurchNow product.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven professional experience in full-stack software development.
  • Strong JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend framework experience (e.g. React).
  • Backend development experience using Node.js, Python, Java, C# or equivalent.
  • Experience developing and integrating REST APIs.
  • Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
  • Experience developing or maintaining web and mobile applications.
  • Proficiency with Git/version control, testing and debugging.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to translate requirements into practical software solutions.
  • Good communication and ability to work independently and within a team.

Desirable

  • Experience with React Native, Flutter or similar mobile frameworks.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD and application deployment.
  • Experience integrating payment, authentication, messaging or third-party APIs.
  • Experience developing SaaS or commercial digital products.
  • Experience working in a client/consulting environment.
