About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role involves leading the development and delivery of cutting-edge digital products used by commercial teams to enhance customer engagement and understanding. Based within Hampshire with a hybrid working model, the successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping the next generation of customer-facing platforms. This is a hands-on leadership position requiring a deep technical expertise and the ability to guide a high-performing development squad. The role encompasses all phases of the development lifecycle—from initial design and architecture to deployment and ongoing support—ensuring the delivery of scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for innovation, a strong understanding of modern cloud-based stacks, and a track record of delivering complex SaaS platforms.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive background in full stack development with a minimum of 10 years of experience. They should have at least 5 years of hands-on experience working with JavaScript and TypeScript, demonstrating proficiency in building scalable, production-level applications. A solid understanding of system design principles, cloud infrastructure, and architecture best practices is essential. Candidates should have experience developing large SaaS platforms, with a focus on performance, security, and maintainability. A degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred, or equivalent practical experience in a similar role. Excellent collaboration skills, stakeholder management, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are critical. Additionally, an interest in leveraging AI technologies to enhance development processes is highly desirable.

Responsibilities
- Lead the technical delivery of projects within a high-performing development team, ensuring timely and quality outputs.
- Contribute to system design, solution architecture, and domain modeling to create scalable and efficient platforms.
- Develop proof-of-concepts and conduct spikes to explore complex or uncertain technical areas.
- Break down requirements into manageable epics and user stories in collaboration with product and initiative managers.
- Design, develop, and deploy production-ready code across the full technology stack, adhering to best practices.
- Maintain high standards of code quality, security, and performance, facilitating ongoing system improvements.
- Support live systems post-deployment, troubleshooting issues and implementing enhancements as needed.
- Influence and establish technical standards, tooling, and best practices across the engineering department.
Tech Environment
The successful candidate will work within a modern and innovative tech stack, including:
- Node.js microservices architecture
- JavaScript and TypeScript for robust application development
- Vue.js for responsive front-end interfaces
- Redis, SQL Server, and Snowflake for data management and caching
- AWS cloud infrastructure to support scalable deployment
- CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices to ensure continuous integration, delivery, and security

About You
- You possess extensive full stack development experience, ideally exceeding 10 years.
- You have at least 5 years of practical experience working with JavaScript and TypeScript.
- You have a strong background in designing scalable and maintainable systems.
- You have experience building and maintaining large SaaS platforms in a production environment.
- You follow a clean-code philosophy, applying SOLID principles, design patterns, and writing testable code.
- You are familiar with mature CI/CD and continuous deployment environments.
- You approach software development with a commercial mindset, balancing technical excellence with business value.
- You excel in stakeholder collaboration, communicating effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- You have a keen interest in utilizing AI to accelerate and improve software development processes.
- You are passionate about performance optimization, security, and engineering best practices.
- You hold a degree in Computer Science or possess equivalent practical experience in software engineering.
