About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead Full Stack Developer to join a fast-growing UK SaaS technology company. This organization develops data-driven digital products that empower commercial teams to better understand and engage with their customers. As a key member of the technical leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the next generation of customer-facing platforms. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a talented development squad, contribute to solution design, and work on cutting-edge technologies within a modern cloud-based environment.

The position is hybrid, based within the Midlands or South of the UK, offering flexibility and a dynamic working environment. The successful candidate will be involved from early-stage design through to production deployment, ensuring high standards of quality, security, and performance are maintained throughout the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in full stack development, with over 10 years of hands-on experience in building scalable, production-grade SaaS platforms. A minimum of five years of experience working with JavaScript and TypeScript is essential. Candidates should demonstrate a solid understanding of system design principles, architecture, and best practices for maintainable and secure code. A degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred, but equivalent real-world experience will also be considered.

Additional qualifications include experience working in mature CI/CD environments, familiarity with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, and knowledge of modern front-end frameworks like Vue.js. Excellent collaboration skills, stakeholder engagement, and a commercial mindset are critical for success in this role. An interest in leveraging AI to enhance software development processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical delivery of projects within a high-performing development team, ensuring timely and quality outputs.
  • Contribute to solution architecture, system design, and domain modeling to create scalable and efficient platforms.
  • Build proof-of-concept prototypes and address complex or uncertain technical challenges through spikes and experimentation.
  • Break down business requirements into manageable epics and user stories in collaboration with product managers and stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive, production-ready code across the full technology stack, adhering to best practices.
  • Ensure that the codebase maintains high standards of quality, security, performance, and maintainability.
  • Support and optimize live systems post-deployment, troubleshooting issues and implementing improvements as needed.
  • Influence the technical direction, tooling, and engineering practices across the wider development team to foster continuous improvement.
