About The Role

We are seeking a talented Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our Alts Data Management (ADM) team in Edinburgh, UK. This role involves developing AI-powered data products and workflow solutions that enhance transparency, efficiency, and insights within private market investments. As a key member of a collaborative and dynamic engineering team, you will work on distributed services that span the entire ADM stack, contributing to innovative solutions that impact our global client base. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full-stack development, a passion for solving complex technical challenges, and a keen interest in financial services technology. This position requires a proactive approach, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Please note that applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK from day one, as visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Extensive experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects
  • Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming languages
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or similar
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably Terraform
  • Experience with AI and machine learning, particularly generative AI for coding
  • Experience in financial services or wealth management operations is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently with a high ownership mentality
  • Leadership experience in technical initiatives from conception to deployment is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Architect, develop, and maintain scalable engineering solutions to address complex business challenges
  • Write clean, efficient, and testable code following best engineering practices
  • Lead and deliver high-value projects independently from design through to deployment
  • Collaborate with product managers to refine requirements, assess design feasibility, and incorporate user feedback
  • Document software functionality, system architecture, and project plans clearly and comprehensively
  • Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and fostering professional growth
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and manage dependencies
  • Stay updated with industry trends, promote best practices, and advocate for continuous improvement
