Overview

As a Floor Manager, you will play a key leadership role in delivering an exceptional luxury client experience while driving commercial success and operational excellence. Supporting the Assistant Store Manager and the wider leadership team, you will lead by example on the shop floor, inspiring and developing the team to consistently exceed customer expectations and business objectives.

As a brand ambassador, you will ensure every client interaction reflects the values and standards of the brand. With a passion for luxury retail, you will create a welcoming, client-centric environment, build lasting customer relationships, and champion a culture of excellence across all areas of the business.

Spending the majority of your time on the sales floor, you will coach and motivate the team, maximise trading opportunities, oversee daily floor operations, and ensure the store consistently reflects the highest standards of luxury retail.

Responsibilities

Client Experience & Sales Leadership

  • Deliver an exceptional luxury shopping experience, ensuring every client receives personalised, memorable service.
  • Lead by example on the shop floor, consistently achieving individual and team sales targets.
  • Support the Assistant Store Manager and wider leadership team in driving daily, weekly and monthly commercial performance.
  • Identify opportunities to maximise sales, conversion, average transaction value and client retention.
  • Build and nurture long-term client relationships through exceptional service, clienteling and follow-up communication.
  • Demonstrate expert product knowledge and confidently communicate the craftsmanship, heritage and values of the brand.
  • Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently, delivering positive outcomes that strengthen customer loyalty.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Inspire, motivate and develop a high-performing sales team through coaching, mentoring and regular feedback.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Lead by example, setting the standard for professionalism, luxury service and personal presentation.
  • Support the onboarding, training and development of new team members.
  • Conduct regular performance conversations and support performance management where appropriate.
  • Effectively delegate responsibilities and ensure priorities are completed throughout the trading day.
  • Create and manage daily floor plans, team deployment and break schedules to maximise productivity and customer service.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive and collaborative working environment where every team member can succeed.

Commercial & Operational Excellence

  • Take ownership of the day-to-day running of the sales floor, ensuring smooth and efficient store operations.
  • Analyse sales reports and key performance indicators to identify trends and implement commercial actions.
  • Ensure visual merchandising standards reflect the brand’s luxury image while supporting commercial objectives.
  • Support stock management, deliveries, replenishment, inventory accuracy and loss prevention procedures.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, cash handling and operational compliance.
  • Ensure company policies, health and safety procedures and security standards are consistently followed.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to deliver store objectives, seasonal launches and business initiatives.
  • Partner closely with the Assistant Store Manager to maintain effective communication with the relevant departments at HCHQ, ensuring store priorities, operational updates and business initiatives are communicated and executed efficiently.
  • Maintain exceptional standards of housekeeping, organisation and presentation across all areas of the store.

Brand Ambassador

  • Represent the brand with passion, professionalism and integrity at all times.
  • Create an inspiring shopping environment that reflects the luxury positioning of the business.
  • Build a strong team culture centred around service excellence, product knowledge and commercial success.
  • Protect the brand, its people, products and reputation by maintaining the highest operational and ethical standards.

Qualifications

Skills & Experience

  • Previous leadership experience within a premium or luxury retail environment.
  • Proven ability to inspire, coach and develop high-performing teams.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional client experiences and building long-term customer relationships.
  • Strong commercial awareness with a track record of achieving sales and KPI targets.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Confident decision-maker with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly organised with excellent planning and time management skills.
  • Experience using retail reporting tools to analyse performance and identify opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of luxury visual merchandising and operational standards.
  • Digitally confident with the ability to learn and utilise retail systems and processes.
  • Flexible to work weekends, evenings and peak trading periods.
  • Passion for luxury fashion, craftsmanship and delivering world-class service.
