Overview

We are seeking a commercially driven, hands-on Development & Partnership Lead to help drive the next stage of growth for a specialist workplace design consultancy.

This is a key role within CURA and is suited to someone who wants to build something, not simply manage a sales pipeline.

The role combines business development, strategic relationship building, marketing and market development. You will work closely with CURA's leadership to identify opportunities, develop partnerships, strengthen the company's market presence and convert relationships into sustainable sources of work.

We are looking for someone who is committed, commercially hungry and highly self-motivated, with the consistency and ownership to operate independently while keeping leadership fully informed of progress.

Responsibilities

Business Development & Partnerships

  • Identify and develop strategic relationships with workplace design, fit-out, construction, project management and commercial property organisations.
  • Build and manage a targeted list of high-value partner organisations.
  • Generate new conversations and qualified meetings through relationship-led outreach.
  • Develop relationships beyond initial introductions and identify genuine commercial opportunities.
  • Position CURA as a trusted external design delivery partner.
  • Develop existing relationships to generate repeat and ongoing work.
  • Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships, referrals and new routes to market.

Marketing & Market Development

  • Help develop and implement CURA's marketing and business development campaigns.
  • Support LinkedIn, email and other targeted outreach campaigns.
  • Develop ideas for content, events, presentations, webinars and other market-facing initiatives.
  • Help strengthen CURA's market positioning and visibility.
  • Identify new sectors, organisations and geographic markets with potential for CURA.

Pipeline & Commercial Management

  • Maintain accurate and current CRM records throughout the week.
  • Track conversations, meetings, opportunities, next actions and commercial potential.
  • Proactively progress opportunities rather than simply recording activity.
  • Work with leadership to convert qualified opportunities into secured projects.
  • Provide clear visibility of pipeline, progress, blockers and priorities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Relationship & Client Management

  • Develop trusted relationships with directors, design leaders, project leads, commercial teams and other key decision-makers.
  • Attend meetings, networking events and client engagements.
  • Ensure agreed follow-ups and actions are completed promptly.
  • Maintain momentum between meetings and ensure opportunities do not go cold.

Your Immediate Targets

During the initial period, the focus will be on establishing a strong and measurable target and commercial rhythm. The targets are intended as commercial benchmarks rather than a numbers exercise. Quality of relationships, relevance of opportunities and progression towards secured work are more important than simply generating activity.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has proven experience in business development, partnerships, marketing or commercial growth within the workplace, interiors, construction, property or professional services sectors.
  • Has an established network within the UK commercial interiors, construction or property market.
  • Can open doors and create relationships with senior decision-makers.
  • Thinks in terms of partnerships and long-term commercial relationships, not transactional sales.
  • Is commercially curious and able to identify opportunities that others may overlook.
  • Can combine BD with practical marketing and market-development activity.
  • Is highly organised and maintains accurate records and follow-up actions.
  • Is self-sufficient and comfortable taking ownership without constant direction.
  • Communicates consistently and proactively.
  • Is comfortable being measured on commercial outcomes, pipeline development and quality of activity.
  • Has the resilience and persistence required to develop relationships over time.
  • Wants to play a meaningful role in building a business, rather than simply filling a position.

What will matter most

We are particularly interested in people who demonstrate:

  • Ownership — you see something that needs doing and take responsibility for progressing it.
  • Consistency — you maintain momentum throughout the week rather than operating in bursts.
  • Commercial judgement — you know the difference between activity and a genuine opportunity.
  • Initiative — you bring ideas and opportunities to CURA rather than waiting to be given a task list.
  • Communication — leadership should know where things stand without having to chase for updates.
  • Commitment — you see the potential in CURA and want to help build it.

Working Arrangement

This is a full-time position, initially focused on developing CURA's UK market and commercial pipeline.

The role requires a high degree of autonomy and ownership. We are less concerned with prescribing how you structure every working day and more concerned with consistent activity, commercial progress, communication and results.

As the business develops, there is significant scope for the role to expand into new sectors and international markets, including Europe and North America.

Get in touch

If you are commercially driven, entrepreneurial and enjoy building relationships from the ground up, we'd like to hear from you.

This is an opportunity to work directly with CURA's leadership and play a meaningful role in shaping the company's next stage of growth across business development, partnerships and marketing.

We're looking for someone who wants to build something with us, not simply use the role as a stepping stone to something else.

Please send your CV, including a brief outline (no more than one page) describing how you would approach your first 90 days in the role, including your strategy for business development, partnerships and marketing. Also include 3–5 sentences explaining why this role and CURA specifically interest you, and one example of a relationship or opportunity you have personally developed from an initial conversation into a commercial opportunity.
