Full-time Faculty in Nursing
Position Summary
The Department of Nursing in the School of Science, Engineering & Health at Messiah University invites applications for a faculty position in Nursing beginning August 1, 2027.
Responsibilities
- Teaching undergraduate nursing courses in medical-surgical nursing, pathophysiology, health assessment, foundations, pharmacology, and/or pediatrics.
- Other specialty areas may also be considered.
- Oversight of students in the clinical setting and simulation lab.
Qualifications
- Must have a graduate degree in nursing.
- Minimum of a Master of Science degree in nursing with appropriate clinical practice certifications.
- Doctoral degree in nursing preferred (PhD or DNP) or current enrollment in doctoral study.
- Graduate preparation in Nursing Education is preferred, with didactic and clinical teaching experience.
- Candidate should be committed to excellence in teaching in a Christian liberal arts setting.
- Must have a current, valid professional nursing license in Pennsylvania, or approved multi-state license.

- Messiah University’s baccalaureate, master’s, and Doctor of Nursing Practice programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.

- Messiah University’s Department of Nursing offers undergraduate and graduate degrees, including: The University BSN, MSN – Nurse Educator, Nursing Leadership, Family Nurse Practitioner, MSN/MBA – Nursing Administration dual degree, DNP – Family Nurse Practitioner (post BSN), Nursing Leadership (post-master’s), Nurse Educator, Post Graduate Certificate – Family Nurse Practitioner.
