The Role You Are Considering
You'll be part of the Data Platforms team within the Insights and Data Global Practice, which has seen strong, sustained growth across a wide range of projects and sectors. Data Platforms is home to the Data Engineers, Platform Engineers, Solution Architects and Business Analysts driving our customers' digital and data transformation on modern cloud platforms.
We specialise in the latest frameworks, reference architectures and technologies across AWS, Azure and GCP, and we're looking for talented people who want to grow their career in a high-performing team that cares about increasing the value of data and analytics for our clients.
PLEASE NOTE:
Security Clearance: To be successfully appointed to this role, must be eligible to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance. To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements.
Throughout the recruitment process, you will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility such as, but not limited to, country of residence and nationality.
Some posts are restricted to sole UK Nationals for security reasons; therefore, you may be asked about your citizenship in the application process.
Your Role
We're looking for a versatile Full Stack Engineer who's equally comfortable building data pipelines and the applications that sit on top of them. You'll deliver robust, cloud-native solutions that turn data into things people actually use: dashboards, data products, secure APIs and, increasingly, GenAI-powered applications such as conversational and retrieval-based interfaces. You'll work across the full stack and the full data lifecycle, from ingestion and processing through to the web and API layer, with quality, security and reliability built in from the start.
What you’ll be doing
Data engineering
- Design and build scalable data pipelines (for example Apache Spark, Airflow, dbt) and maintain data lakes, warehouses and real-time streaming solutions.
- Ensure data quality, governance and compliance across platforms.
Full-stack application development
- Design, code, test and deploy scalable, efficient web applications, building responsive, interactive user interfaces with a modern front-end framework and robust server-side logic, databases and APIs.
- Develop APIs and microservices that expose data securely and efficiently.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
GenAI-powered applications
- Build the application layer for AI: conversational and RAG interfaces, agent-facing front-ends and APIs, and streaming LLM responses, integrating GenAI and orchestration services (including patterns such as tool-calling and the Model Context Protocol) into production web applications with appropriate guardrails.
DataOps, deployment and reliability
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines (for example GitHub Actions, ArgoCD) and deploy cloud-native microservices on Kubernetes, hosted on Red Hat OpenShift.
- Build in observability and monitoring for both data pipelines and AI-driven features, optimising for performance, scalability and reliability, including for the non-deterministic behaviour of AI components.
Your Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer and Data Engineer.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React (must), Angular, Vue.js.
- Strong back-end development skills: Java and Node.js (must); Python or Ruby on Rails is a plus.
- Experience with cloud-native architectures and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with Red Hat OpenShift.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and version control systems (Git, GitHub, ArgoCD).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps culture.
- Exposure to data visualization tools (Power BI, Fabric) or custom dashboards.
