Method Resourcing are working exclusively with a highly respected financial services organisation who are investing heavily in the future of their Business Intelligence and data capabilities. This is an opportunity to join a business that is evolving how insight is delivered across the organisation, moving beyond traditional dashboards and building modern, interactive applications that put data directly into the hands of users.
The role
This is a genuinely greenfield opportunity. The BI function is transitioning away from relying solely on traditional reporting tools and is investing in custom-built applications delivered through Databricks Apps and modern web technologies.
You'll join a well-established BI team but will become their first dedicated application engineering hire, bringing an entirely new capability into the function. You'll be responsible for helping define architectural standards, coding practices, and application frameworks that will underpin the team's future delivery model.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
