Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a fully qualified joiner based in Brighouse. The joiner will undertake a variety of first and second fix joinery tasks, including installation of doors, windows, skirting, architraves, and fitted furniture in domestic, commercial, and healthcare settings.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Reading and interpreting drawings
- Measuring and cutting materials
- Assembling and installing joinery components
- Ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards
The role involves working closely with other trades, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and communicating effectively with site supervisors and clients. The joiner will also be expected to use hand and power tools competently, adhere to health and safety procedures, and support the timely completion of projects.
Qualifications
- Recognized joinery or carpentry qualification (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) and proven experience as a fully qualified joiner.
- Strong practical skills in first and second fix joinery, including installation of doors, frames, windows, skirting, architraves, and fitted units.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications, with accurate measuring and cutting skills.
- Competent use of hand tools and power tools, with a solid understanding of safe working practices and site health and safety requirements.
- Experience working in domestic, commercial, or healthcare environments, with an emphasis on quality workmanship and attention to detail.
- Reliable, organized, and able to manage time effectively, including working to deadlines and coordinating with other trades on site.
- Good communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with colleagues, contractors, and clients.
- Full driving license and ability to travel to various sites in and around Brighouse is advantageous.
