Functional Assessor
Salary: £46,813
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
Location: Wandsworth

About the Role
As a Functional Assessor, you'll use your clinical expertise to assess how health conditions impact people's daily lives and ability to work. It's a role that blends medical knowledge with meaningful human connection - giving you the chance to support individuals while contributing to a fair and compassionate benefits system.
You'll carry out assessments both face-to-face and via video or phone, taking detailed medical histories and conducting physical examinations. Your findings will help inform accurate, high-quality reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). You'll be trusted to work independently, but you'll also be part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team that values collaboration and continuous learning.

About You
You'll be a qualified healthcare professional with a passion for making a difference. You'll bring empathy, clinical insight, and a commitment to delivering excellent service and…
- A registered Nurse, Paramedic, Occupational Therapist, Pharmacist, or Physiotherapist with at least 12 months' post-registration UK experience
- Confident in clinical decision-making, with a strong understanding of functional assessment
- Skilled communicator, able to build trust and ask the right questions
- Digitally capable, with experience using clinical software and systems
- Self-motivated and organised, with a focus on quality and integrity
- Team-oriented, ready to support colleagues and contribute to a positive working culture
