Functional Assessor – Nurse/Physiotherapist/OT/Paramedic - Homebased and Office Based
Location:
Bristol, Weston-Super-Mare, Yeovil, Salisbury, + Other locations across the South West and South Coast of England (Hybrid – homebased & office based)
Salary:
£40,000 – £42,000 + up to £4,000 in salary uplifts
5% approval bonus + performance related bonuses.
Hours:
Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm | No weekends or bank holidays
Contract:
Permanent | Full-time

What you’ll do
- Carry out functional assessments with claimants to understand how their health conditions or disabilities impact their daily life.
- Use a structured approach to gather information through conversations and clinical questioning — no treatment or prescribing involved.
- Review existing medical evidence and request further details where necessary.
- Analyse how conditions affect mobility, cognition, daily activities, and ability to work.
- Compile clear, concise medical reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) — no diagnosis required.

- At least 1 year post-registration experience
- Strong communication, assessment and IT/report-writing skills
