Key Responsibilities

Functional Lead – Product Activation & Business Analysis

Location: UK (Onsite) / Client-facing

Experience: 10 - 15+ years

Industry: Life Sciences / Pharmaceutical Technology / Medical Affairs

We are seeking an experienced Functional Lead – Product Activation & Business Analysis to lead the rollout, adoption, and operationalization of AI-enabled content review platforms across global pharmaceutical markets.

This role serves as the primary liaison between client stakeholders, product teams, and delivery teams, driving successful market onboarding, business process alignment, change management, and product adoption. In addition to leading affiliate activation efforts, the Functional Lead will act as a Senior Business Analyst, translating business needs into functional requirements, documenting market-specific processes, and ensuring alignment between business objectives and platform capabilities.

The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in MLR/PRC processes, Veeva ecosystem solutions, stakeholder management, business analysis, and enterprise-scale technology transformation programs within the life sciences industry.

Product Activation & Market Rollout Leadership

  • Serve as the single point of contact for client stakeholders throughout the product activation and market onboarding journey.
  • Lead affiliate readiness assessments and deployment planning activities.
  • Drive onboarding and rollout of new markets while ensuring adherence to global operating models.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including business, technology, operations, quality, and change management.
  • Manage rollout governance, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications.
  • Support transition and adoption of new platform capabilities across affiliate markets.

Business Analysis & Requirements Management

  • Lead business discovery workshops with global and local stakeholders.
  • Capture, analyze, and document business, functional, and operational requirements.
  • Develop Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications, Process Flows, User Stories, and Gap Assessments.
  • Analyze affiliate-specific workflows and identify deviations from global standards.
  • Translate business requirements into actionable specifications for product, engineering, and configuration teams.
  • Facilitate requirement prioritization and support solution design discussions.
  • Ensure traceability from requirements through deployment and user adoption.
  • Drive process harmonization while accommodating market-specific regulatory and operational needs.

Job Description

  • Act as a trusted advisor to business users during onboarding and post-go-live stabilization.
  • Ensure successful knowledge transfer across markets and teams.

Stakeholder & Program Management

  • Build strong relationships with Medical, Regulatory, Commercial, IT, and Digital stakeholders.
  • Present project updates, recommendations, and implementation plans to leadership teams.
  • Drive alignment across global, regional, and local stakeholders.
  • Support executive governance meetings and steering committees.
  • Manage escalation paths and ensure timely resolution of critical issues.
  • Support development of governance frameworks, operating procedures, and implementation playbooks.
  • Collaborate with compliance, medical, regulatory, and quality stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational standards.

The ideal candidate is:

  • A strategic thinker who can engage with senior stakeholders.
  • A hands-on Senior Business Analyst who can independently gather and document requirements.
  • Experienced in pharmaceutical content review and approval processes.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and driving organizational change.
  • Capable of balancing business objectives, user needs, compliance requirements, and technology constraints.
  • Skilled at transforming pilot deployments into scalable enterprise capabilities.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Technology, Medical Affairs Operations, or Commercial Excellence.
  • Strong experience in business analysis and requirements management.
  • Proven experience leading global or multi-market technology implementations.
  • Experience with MLR/PRC review processes and content lifecycle management.
  • Experience working with Veeva Vault PromoMats, Medical Content Platforms, or similar regulated systems.
  • Demonstrated success in stakeholder management and change management initiatives.
