Salary: Competitive + Excellent Benefits

Are you an experienced Safety Engineer looking to work on cutting-edge, mission-critical technology?

We're partnering with an innovative engineering organisation developing advanced electronic and embedded systems for high-integrity applications. As part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and certification of sophisticated products throughout their entire lifecycle.

This is an opportunity to influence the design of next-generation technology, working alongside experts across systems, software, and electronics engineering to deliver solutions where safety, reliability, and performance are paramount.

The Opportunity

As the Safety Engineering subject matter expert, you'll lead the system safety process across a portfolio of advanced engineering programmes. You'll be responsible for developing robust safety strategies, identifying and mitigating risk, and producing the documentation required to support product certification and regulatory compliance.

You'll work closely with engineering teams from concept through to production, embedding safety-by-design principles into every stage of development while helping shape future engineering best practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead system safety activities across complex electronic and embedded system developments.
  • Conduct hazard identification, risk assessments, and safety analyses, including FMEDA, HAZOP, FMEA, and Fault Tree Analysis.
  • Develop Safety Cases, Safety Management Plans, and supporting technical documentation.
  • Define and manage safety requirements, ensuring full traceability throughout the design lifecycle.
  • Act as Functional Safety Manager across multiple development programmes.
  • Maintain Hazard Logs and support environmental and product safety assessments.
  • Collaborate with systems, software, and hardware engineering teams to integrate safety throughout product development.
  • Work with suppliers and external partners to ensure compliance with safety requirements.
  • Act as the primary technical authority for all safety-related matters.
  • Drive continuous improvement of safety processes, standards, and engineering methodologies.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
