Fund Accountant

We are looking for a Fund Accountant to join a fund accounting team within a leading Asset Manager. The role forms part of an important control and oversight function, supporting the accurate and timely valuation and reporting of investment funds.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a strong understanding of the investment products and structures held within the funds and coordinate the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly Net Asset Values (NAVs).
  • Reconcile fund valuations against those produced by external fund administrators and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Apply the organisation’s valuation and pricing framework when reviewing fund valuations, escalating and resolving issues such as unusual price movements, cash differences, trade capture discrepancies, and other valuation exceptions.
  • Work closely with portfolio management teams to obtain appropriate review and approval of portfolio valuations and investment returns.
  • Review the calculation and application of management, performance, and other applicable fund fees, ensuring these are accurate and processed within the required timeframe.
  • Build effective working relationships with external administrators, auditors, and other service providers, responding to queries and providing information as required.
  • Produce accurate and timely fund accounting information and reporting for internal stakeholders and external recipients.
  • Support regulatory and statutory reporting requirements relating to the funds.
  • Contribute to projects, process enhancements, automation initiatives, and other activities designed to improve the efficiency and control environment of the fund accounting function.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
